Your data

Privacy notice

This notice explains which personal data Dounya Legal Pro uses when you contact us or request legal support.

Last updated: 28 September 2026

1. Who is responsible?

Dounya Legal Pro (DLP), Chamber of Commerce (KVK) number 42098984, is responsible for processing your data. You can contact us at dounyalegalpro@gmail.com or 06 8766 6531. The visiting address is shielded in the Dutch Business Register.

2. Which data do we use?

For an intake, we ask for your first name, last name, phone number, address, postcode, city or town, the topic and a description of your question. An email address is optional. If you later engage us, we may also process your correspondence and documents needed for the work.

Do not include your BSN, medical information or sensitive documents in the first intake message. If such information is needed for your case, we first discuss how you can share it.

3. For what purposes and on what basis?

We do not make decisions about you solely through an automated system.

4. How does the intake form work?

The text you enter is not stored in a database on this website. Pressing the button opens WhatsApp with a prefilled message. You can check it and decide whether to send it. The message is then processed through WhatsApp and DLP receives it in the business conversation. You can also call or email us if you prefer not to use WhatsApp.

5. With whom do we share data?

WhatsApp and email providers may process your message for communication purposes. The hosting provider may process technical data to operate the website. We share your file with a collaborating lawyer or an authority when necessary for your request and after discussing this with you, or when required by law. A lawyer handles their own engagement and privacy obligations independently.

6. How long do we retain data?

If no engagement is agreed, we delete your intake and related correspondence from our own records no later than six months after the last contact, unless a legal obligation or a specific dispute makes longer retention necessary. For an engagement, we retain case data for as long as needed to handle the matter and meet any legal obligations. We retain financial records for the applicable statutory retention period.

7. Your rights and questions

You can ask us for access to, correction, deletion or restriction of your data. Depending on the situation, you can also object or request data portability. Send your request to dounyalegalpro@gmail.com. We may ask you to confirm your identity before providing data. You can also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

This notice describes how DLP works. If our services or communication methods change, we update the text.
